Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowi
It is the rhizome of Acorus TATARINOWII SCHOTT., family ARACEAE. |
Property, taste and attributive meridian.
Pungent and bitter in taste, slightly warm in property. Enters the heart, liver and spleen meridian.
Function and indication
Eliminate phlegm to wake the patient from unconsciousness, remove dampness and promote QI-energy circulation expel wind and relieve painful obstruction relieve swelling and stop pain. Indicated for confusion of mind due to febrile disease, phlegmatic SYNCOPE amnesia, tinnitus, deafness, distention and pain in the EPIGASTRIUM and abdomen arorectic dysentery, painful obstruction due to wind-dampness, traumatic injuries, carbuncles, boils, scabies and tinea.
Chemical component
The rhizome contains essential oil.
Clinical application
It is used to help seizure of epilepsy and pulmonary encephalopathy. |
