TANGSHEN Radix Codonopsis Tangshen is the dried root of Codonopsis pilosula (Franch.) Nannf., Codonopsis pilosula Nannf. var. modesta (Nannf.)L. T. Shen or Codonopsis tangshen Oliv. (Fam. Campanulaceae).

Functions and indications
To reinfrce QI and invigorate the function of the spleen and the lung.
Indicated for weakness of the spleen and the lung manifested by shortness of breath, cough, palpitation, loose stools; diabetes caused by inernal heat.
